Get to Know Dr. Kate Hannifan
Dr. Kate Hannifan attended the University of Wyoming for her undergraduate degree, followed by medical school at the University of Washington, and completed her pediatric residency at Seattle Children’s Hospital. She cared for patients at a private practice in her home state of Wyoming before moving to Fort Collins to join The Youth Clinic in 2012.
Dr. Hannifan is Board Certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She loves getting to know her patients and their families and building a relationship with them over time. She thinks that pediatrics is great because patients tell her the best stories and funniest things!
When she isn’t being entertained by her patients, Dr. Hannifan enjoys running, hiking with her dog Ollie, reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
When she isn’t caring for our patients, Dr. Sampera can be found walking, hiking, snowshoeing, camping, reading, writing, cooking, or doing yoga. She is passionate about the power of mindfulness practices, nutrition, and movement. Dr. Sampera loves partnering with her patients and their families to achieve their health goals through relationship and collaboration.
“My daughter’s Doctor, Hannifan, was excellent from the time I met her in my recovery room. Making an appointment was always easy, and I absolutely loved that they had a 24/7 nurse line. As a new mom, I used this often and it was such a good tool to have at my disposal. All of the nurses here are friendly and good at their job. By that I mean, good with my daughter and great at giving multiple shots in the blink of an eye.”
