I love that a child’s life is always in evolution. It’s a privilege to see them grow, and to help their family and community navigate the
changes along with them.
Get to Know Dr. Katie Garling
Dr. Katie Garling is a pediatrician who brings experience in urgent pediatric care, clinical leadership and healthcare technology to The Youth Clinic. Before attending medical school, she worked for Epic software for two years before deciding she wanted to care for patients on the other side of the computer. She later spent four years working in a dedicated children’s urgent care, where she also held leadership roles on guidelines, education and quality improvement committees.
Dr. Garling earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and studied business at Rockhurst University in Kansas City. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Garling considers it a privilege to watch children grow and help their families and communities navigate each new stage. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her children, writing, yoga, hiking, swimming, paddleboarding and playing with her Cavalier puppy, Rhodes. Her Northern Colorado recommendation for every child is to experience a gravel trail, with sunscreen and water close at hand.
