We are thrilled to share that Rylie Eckman has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Growing Healthy Kids High School Scholarship, proudly presented by The Youth Clinic!
About the Scholarship
In it’s ninth year, the Growing Healthy Kids Scholarship invites high school students to submit an essay reflecting on a specific theme. For 2026, students explored the connection between health and academic success. Submissions were evaluated on:
- Relevance to the theme
- Content quality
- Organization and development
- Grammar and mechanics
- Writing style
Rylie’s Inspiring Story
Rylie’s essay beautifully shared how health and academic success are deeply connected. Through athletics, leadership, faith, and service, Rylie has shown resilience, dedication, and a strong commitment to helping others.
Looking Ahead
Rylie will receive a $1,000 scholarship to support her studies at Chatham University this fall, where she plans to pursue an accelerated Physician Assistant program and continue playing Division III hockey.
